This Privacy Policy explains how Hansonsoft LLC (“we”) handles data when you use the Word King (背词哥) iOS app. Word King lets you photograph a page or pick a photo, recognizes English words on your device, and helps you study them. It requires no account or login, and we run no server that stores your data.
1. Information we collect
- We do not collect your name, account, photos, word bank, or study records. Word King has no account or login system.
- Support communications: email addresses, problem descriptions, and screenshots you send us, used for technical support;
- Advertising technical data: banner and interstitial ads are served by Google AdMob (see section 5), which may process certain device and usage data under its policies.
2. Photos and text recognition
When you take a photo or pick one from your library, text recognition (OCR, using Tesseract) runs entirely on your device. Photos are not uploaded to us or any third party, and the app does not save them.
3. On-device study data
Your word bank, study progress, wrong answers, hidden words, and meanings you edit are stored only in local storage on your device. We cannot view them. Deleting the app removes this data, and it cannot be recovered afterward.
4. Children’s privacy
This Software is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from any child under 13. If you believe we may have received a child’s information, contact hh@hansonsoft.com and we will handle it as required by applicable law after verification.
5. Networking and third parties
- Translation: recognized English words are sent to Google Translate’s public service to fetch Chinese meanings. Only the word text is sent—no photos or personal information. Translations are machine-generated and may be inaccurate; you can edit meanings in the app.
- Advertising: Word King shows Google AdMob banner and interstitial ads. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect device identifiers (the advertising identifier IDFA, only if you allow tracking under App Tracking Transparency), IP address, coarse location, and ad interaction and usage data. You can deny or revoke tracking at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. See Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
- Text-to-speech: pronunciation uses your device’s built-in system voice.
6. Permissions
Word King asks for camera and photo library access only so you can take or pick the image to recognize. You can change these permissions in iOS Settings at any time.
7. Your rights
You may edit or delete words and meanings in the app, or delete the app to remove all local data. To request deletion of support correspondence with us, email hh@hansonsoft.com. If you are in certain U.S. states (including Colorado), you may also use those channels to exercise applicable rights such as access, correction, and deletion.

本《隐私政策》说明 Hansonsoft LLC（「我们」）在您使用「背词哥」iOS 应用时的数据处理做法。背词哥可拍摄书页或选取照片，在本机识别英文单词并辅助您学习。无需账号、无需登录，我们没有任何存储用户数据的服务器。
一、我们收集的信息
- 我们不收集您的姓名、账号、照片、词库或学习记录。背词哥没有账号或登录系统；
- 客服沟通：您主动发来的邮箱、问题描述与截图，用于技术支持；
- 广告技术数据：横幅与插屏广告由 Google AdMob 提供（见第五条），其可按自身政策处理部分设备与使用数据。
二、照片与文字识别
您拍照或从相册选取照片后，文字识别（OCR，基于 Tesseract）完全在您的设备上进行。照片不会上传给我们或任何第三方，应用也不会保存照片。
三、本机学习数据
词库、学习进度、错题、隐藏的单词以及您编辑的释义，仅保存在您设备的本地存储中，我们无法查看。删除应用即会删除这些数据，删除后无法恢复。
四、未成年人隐私
本软件不面向 13 岁以下儿童。我们不会故意收集任何 13 岁以下儿童的个人信息。若您认为我们可能收到了儿童的信息，请联系 hh@hansonsoft.com，我们将在核实后按适用法律处理。
五、联网与第三方
- 翻译：识别出的英文单词会发送至 Google 翻译公共服务以获取中文释义。仅发送单词文本，不发送照片或任何个人信息。释义为机器翻译，可能不准确，您可在应用内自行修改。
- 广告：背词哥展示 Google AdMob 横幅与插屏广告。为投放和衡量广告，AdMob 可能收集设备标识（广告标识符 IDFA，仅在您通过「App 跟踪透明度」允许跟踪时）、IP 地址、粗略位置以及广告互动与使用数据。您可随时在 iOS「设置 → 隐私与安全性 → 跟踪」中拒绝或撤回跟踪。详见 Google 隐私权政策及 Google 如何使用来自使用其服务的网站或应用的信息。
- 朗读：单词发音使用设备内置的系统语音。
六、权限
背词哥申请相机与相册权限，仅用于拍摄或选取待识别的图片。您可随时在 iOS 设置中更改这些权限。
七、您的权利
您可在应用内修改或删除单词与释义，或删除应用以清除全部本地数据。向我们请求删除客服往来记录，请邮件 hh@hansonsoft.com。若您位于美国特定州（包括科罗拉多州），亦可通过上述方式行使适用法律规定的访问、更正、删除等权利。
